I enjoy spending time with the two red heads in my life, my wife Amy and daughter Hannah, running, reading, traveling, playing the violin, singing in the choir on Saturday afternoons at St. Joseph Catholic Church, and watching the Twins at Target Field.

Jennifer is the Administrative Assistant of Chain of Lakes Church.  She started in October of 2009.  Jennifer has worked as an administrator for over 20 years.  She has a degree in Business Administration.

What do you do at Chain of Lakes Church?

I maintain and organize the church office, and provide all that's required to reach out to the community and show them who we are.  In my job I feel it is important to empower the people of Chain of Lakes Church.  I want to give them all the opportunity to join a ministry and use their own talents.

What did you do before working at Chain of Lakes?
I had my own decorating business with my twin sister.  Together we ran this business for nearly 10 years.  I believe my talent for creativity and my business sense helps to be a good administrator for a new church development.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was a child I wanted to be either a fashion designer or interior designer.

What do you do for fun?
I love going to the movies (most of the time with my movie partner, my twin sister); I enjoy reading; I enjoy watching my children, Emily and Ally, dance and play sports, as well as walking my dog Skip.  I love spending time with my husband, Mike, he makes me laugh.  And I have great friends and love the opportunity to hang out with them every chance I get.

What is your favorite Bible verse?
"...love one another, just as I have loved you."  Many forms of this verse appears throughout the Bible.

What do you enjoy most about your job at Chain of Lakes?
I'm excited to have this opportunity to help start a new church.  I look forward to building a church and finding what it's like to break ground and create a community.

What what to be when you grew up?
At various times I remember wanting to be a "rock" scientist, a veterinarian, a conductor, and the church pianist.

What was your first job?
My first job was working at a cheese and buffalo shop where I was exposed to the wonderful world of cheese.

What do you do for fun?
Life itself is fun.  However, if I must be specific, I love to make music, read, experiment in the kitchen, curl up with a good movie, play outside, and enjoy the company of friends.  It is better to laugh with others when the opportunity arises.

What is your favorite Bible verse?
"Watch over your heart with all diligence for from it flow the wellsprings of life."  Proverbs 4:23
My heart is where Christ dwells within me and I want to honor Him with how I live.

Sherri Varsho - Child Care Provider
Church Office: 763-208-8049

I have been married to my husband, Rich, for 9 years. For the past 6 years I have been a stay at home mom.  I have one son, Vincent.  I have volunteered at his school at many events as well as getting to know many families through the Early Childhood program he is enrolled in. Before being home with him I was the Accounts Payable manager for a furniture retailer in the Twin Cities.  Working there I found a niche organizing company events where I usually ran the kid events.  As a teenager I worked in my sisters home daycare center.  Children are so special to me.  They demand our time, attention, and patience and reward us with their humor, love and attentiveness.  I look forward to looking meeting all the families at Chain of Lakes!

What do you do for fun?
We enjoy fishing many of the local lakes.  Usually my son pulls in the biggest one!  We also enjoy Como zoo and nature walks.  Personally I enjoy reading any good mystery and playing with our 2 dogs and 2 cats.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
A mom and a vet... Now I have a son and a house full of animals.. not exactly a vet but as close as I might come.

What do you enjoy most about your job at Chain of Lakes?
I enjoy knowing that I am caring for the future and my actions will influence the people they will become.  I loved meeting the families.  I really like working in an environment where my spirituality is part of my job and not a hidden aspect as in so many jobs today.  Mostly I love the time I get to spend with the kids.

What is your favorite bible verse?
"Leave all your worries with Him, because He cares for you"  1 Peter 5:7  I think this encompasses His knowledge that this world is a hard journey and He is always there for us if only we look and trust Him.

What do you do for fun?

I enjoy spending time with my husand, Ryan, our dog, Ringo, and two cats, Bagheera and Gypsy. Ryan, Ringo, and I frequently go hiking and walking in local parks around the twin cities area. During the winter when hiking is not a possibility I am rooting for the Vikings at the Dome (well, that is when the roof isn’t caved in). When I am not at home I enjoy traveling and seeing the world, opening my life to new experiences. So far I have been to four different continents and look forward to adding the other three in the future.

What was your first job?
I was “file girl” at a drywall company based out of Corcoran, MN.

What is your favorite Bible verse?
Instead of just a single verse I have a favorite story, Jesus and the Samaritan Woman [John 4:6-42]. The story shows that Jesus did not discriminate because of ethnicity, tribe, religion, status, or gender, and was willing to break boundaries to spread the word—passing on the “living water.” I believe it shows a wonderful characteristic of Jesus that we should follow today.
