Bowling

September 11 – November 13

Bowlers of all skill levels are welcome!

Wine Making

October 3 – November 7 (no meeting Oct. 31) Tuesdays, 7 – 8:30pm at Chain of Lakes

Learn how to make wine in time for
Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
Four types of wine will be made:
red, white, wine coolers, fruit.
The science of fermentation and the methods
  will be covered. There is no cost to attend.
Costs of supplies and ingredients will be shared
by those who want bottles of wine
produced by the class.

 Both Frank and Dave have extensive experience in making wine. Dave has won numerous ribbons for his beer and wine at the Minnesota State Fair.

Spirituality of Simplicity

October 4 – November 29
(no meeting Oct. 18 & Nov. 22)
Wednesdays, 6:30 – 8pm at Amy’s home
Leader: Amy Moore
 
This group is open to men and women longing to quiet their minds and focus on the
importance of intentional living.
 
The spirituality of simplicity will be explored
through the writing of Richard Rohr
and Shauna Niequist,
combined with hands-on practices of
centering prayer, art, play, and
maybe a dessert or two along the way. 

Grief Support

October 12 – December 14
Thursdays, 6:30 – 8pm at Chain of Lakes

Leaders: Jennifer Gilbertson and Becca Larkin
 
 Jennifer and Becca have both experienced devastating grief, and know the
importance of having support.
 
Learn how to cope from a series of videos,  recommended books and from group discussions.
 
 Whether your grief is recent or from long ago,
this will be a compassionate, safe place to share.

 

Romans: Immersion Bible Study

October 15 – November 26
Sundays, 9-10am at Chain of Lakes Church

 Journey inside the pages of Romans to meet a personal God
who enters individual lives and begins a creative work from the inside out.
Shaped with the individual in mind,
this Immersion Bible Study encourages simultaneous
engagement both with the Word of God and

with the God of the Word to become a new creation in Christ.
